Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
You do not need to provide your name or phone number to see quotes. The quoting tool requires six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, how you would describe your health, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you want to compare, and the term length. Those answers go to the carriers to generate rates. Only if you decide to apply will you provide your name and full health history.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices shown are what each carrier quotes for the health class and coverage you selected. The actual premium you pay after approval depends on the carrier's underwriting decision, which may move your health class up, down, or keep it the same. Nothing shown on this site is a guarantee of a specific price or an offer of coverage. The final policy and its actual terms control.
What happens when I click Apply?
After you choose a carrier and select Apply, you enter your name and the application form is prefilled with your answers. You continue on the carriers' secure platform where you can save your progress and return later. You sign electronically. The application goes through Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on several factors: the specific carrier, the coverage amount you want, and the answers you provided about your health. Many carriers now offer accelerated underwriting that makes decisions without a medical exam for younger applicants and smaller amounts. When an exam is needed, the quote tool shows whether it is required, might be required, or is not required for that particular quote.
Is a longer term better?
Choose the term based on your actual need. Term life coverage should cover years when your income is important to someone else: paying off a mortgage, raising children, paying down a business loan. A 20-year or 30-year policy locks in your rate for that period. A 10-year term costs less monthly but covers fewer years. The quote tool lets you compare all lengths from 10 to 30 years side by side so you can see the tradeoff.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting tool does not keep your contact information. We do not buy, sell, or share visitor data with anyone. Our measurement system is cookieless and respects Do Not Track signals. Read the privacy page for a complete list of what data is collected and who collects it.
